Advert fees, not a cut of the sale

What you pay, and what stays free

Older listings are free to read. The animal’s price is between you and the seller, in person. My Friend’s Hairy never takes a deposit or a commission on the animal.

Pay to be the top advert

Each species has its own top spot: dogs, cats, horses, and the rest. The advert that has paid the most is shown first. The next bid is at least £1 more than that amount, in whole pounds. You choose how far above the current top you want to go.

When that listing is withdrawn, reported and taken down, or otherwise leaves the board, its boost is released. The next highest payment becomes the top, and that amount is what the next seller has to beat.

Place a boost from Your listings, after the advert is live.

This preview does not charge a card

Confirming a fee records it on your account so you can try the board. On the live site the same amounts are taken by Stripe, which is also the identity check behind the 20% discount.
